PlanOps: overview and what the software does well
💡 Transparency: this article is written by the SubmitX team, so we are both judge and party. The facts about PlanOps come from its public pages (home, pricing, FAQ, features, subscription contract, privacy policy) and its App Store and Google Play listings, viewed on October 26, 2026. "Not found" means absent from those pages on that date, not non-existent. See an error? Write to support@submitx.ca and we will correct it.
PlanOps is published by Gestion Planifix inc., in Mascouche. Its FAQ describes it as an all-in-one management software for construction contractors in Quebec; the site also targets service businesses (electrical, painting, landscaping, roofing, plumbing, cleaning). The common thread: from first contact to payment, in a single application.
Strengths we can verify
- CRM and leads: drag-and-drop sales funnel and automatic entry of leads from the website and Meta Ads.
- Quotes: templates in your branding, e-signature from the client's email, open, viewed or accepted status.
- Remote measuring: measurements on satellite images, built into the CRM. Useful for roofing or landscaping.
- Invoicing: deposits, progress billing, statement of account, QuickBooks sync.
- Field: geolocated time clock, weekly hours report, calendar and employee assignment, photos.
- Google reviews: automatic review requests after a service.
- Support: every feature in every plan, onboarding session, training and human support in French and English.
For a business that mostly wants to sell better and organize its crews with in-person support, it is a coherent offer.
PlanOps and SubmitX pricing
According to the PlanOps Pricing page (planops.net/pricing, viewed on October 26, 2026), all plans are annual, with a 12-month commitment, in Canadian dollars before taxes. Base prices in 12 monthly instalments (confirmed by the FAQ and the contract, "from $198.95 per month"):
- Autonome (1 to 2 users): $198.95/month, or $169.11/month with a single payment ($2,029.29/year).
- Équipe (3 to 10 users): $350/month, or $297.50/month with a single payment ($3,570/year).
- Croissance (11 to 20 users): $550/month, or $467.50/month with a single payment ($5,610/year).
- Entreprise (more than 20 users): on request.
- Discounts: 15% for a single payment, 10% in 2 instalments, 5% in 4 instalments. The page shows the single-payment price by default.
- One-time setup fees: "from $650" according to the Pricing page; "minimum of $500" according to the contract, with the exact amount on the order form.
The contract provides a 14-day money-back guarantee and automatic renewal for 12 months, unless written notice is given 7 days before the end of the term. After that, cancelling a 12-instalment plan costs the lesser of three instalments or the remaining instalments; plans paid in 1, 2 or 4 instalments can be cancelled without fees, but without a refund. We found no trial or free plan: PlanOps offers a free personalized demo.
SubmitX gives its prices on request, depending on the plan: Free (1 user, unlimited quotes, no AI credits), Starter (3 users, 100 AI credits per month), Pro (25 users, 300 AI credits per month) and Ultra (25 users and more). 7-day trial with no card, monthly payment, no mandatory setup fees (full migration optional, price on request). Details on the Pricing page.
PlanOps sells an all-inclusive, supported plan paid over a year; SubmitX sells monthly plans with a user cap. Compare the cost over 12 months for your real number of users, setup included.
Language, Quebec and data hosting
Both software products are designed in French. PlanOps offers a bilingual site and human support in French and English on business days. Its Pricing page and FAQ state that data is "hosted in Canada", with SSL encryption and automatic backups; its privacy policy mentions third-party providers (hosting, email, monitoring) without naming them. Login is done with a one-time code sent by email. The contract refers to Law 25 (Quebec's privacy law) and allows 30 days to request a data export at the end of the contract.
At SubmitX, the database and files are hosted in Canada (AWS ca-central-1, Montreal). Some subprocessors are in the United States (Anthropic for AI, Vercel, Stripe, Resend, Twilio, among others), with a published list. Neither SubmitX nor Anthropic trains an AI model on customer data. Cancelling a paid plan deletes nothing: the account moves to the Free plan. See the security FAQ.
CCQ payroll, GST/QST and SEAO
- GST/QST: the PlanOps quote guide states that taxes are added automatically to the quote; its prices are shown "GST and QST extra". SubmitX recalculates GST (5%) and QST (9.975%) on every quote and every invoice.
- CCQ payroll: we found no payroll module at PlanOps (verified on October 26, 2026). Its time clock produces a weekly hours report "perfect for payroll", and its Construction page mentions CCQ rules without a dedicated module. Its own comparison with Maestro sums it up: "Built-in invoicing; sync with QuickBooks for accounting". SubmitX includes CCQ payroll and the rates in effect since April 26, 2026.
- SEAO: we found no mention of SEAO at PlanOps. SubmitX sends alerts on new Quebec public tenders based on your trades and regions (learn more).
- Accounting: PlanOps syncs with QuickBooks. SubmitX syncs with QuickBooks Online and exports to Acomba and Sage 50.
If you have employees covered by the CCQ, this is often the deciding point. Our 2026 CCQ rate calculator and our guide to CCQ payroll help you check your rates, whichever software you choose.

PlanOps or SubmitX: who is it for?
PlanOps is a better fit if…
- Your priority is sales: web and Meta leads that flow into the CRM on their own, quotes signed online, automatic Google review requests.
- You often measure remotely (roofs, lots, facades) from satellite images.
- You want human support during implementation and a plan where every feature is included, and a 12-month commitment does not bother you.
- Your accounting stays in QuickBooks and you do not need built-in CCQ payroll.
SubmitX is a fit if…
- You want CCQ payroll, SEAO monitoring, projects (Gantt, RFIs, change orders) and invoicing in the same tool as your quotes.
- You prefer to pay monthly, with no mandatory setup fees, and a permanent Free plan to start.
- You want AI help to build your quotes, with the source of each price, or exports to Acomba and Sage 50.
- You are comfortable betting on a young company (public launch in June 2026), with still few independent reviews. And like any AI, ours can make mistakes: every generated quote must be approved by you before it goes out.
