ServiceTitan vs SubmitX: which software for a service contractor in Quebec in 2026?

ServiceTitan is a very complete American platform for service trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing). If you are searching for "ServiceTitan price", "ServiceTitan in French" or a ServiceTitan alternative in Quebec, here is what its official pages actually say, and how SubmitX differs.

ServiceTitan in Quebec: overview and what it does well

💡 Transparency: this article is written by the SubmitX team, so we are both judge and party. The facts about ServiceTitan come from its public pages viewed on October 26, 2026 (list of sources at the bottom of the page). See an error? Write to support@submitx.ca and we will correct it.

ServiceTitan presents itself as software for residential and commercial trades. Its Industries page lists, among others, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, refrigeration, fire protection, painting and residential remodelling. Construction is also listed as a solution, with a project management module.

What ServiceTitan does well

For a well-established service business that does a lot of dispatching, it is a serious tool. For a Quebec contractor, the question is mostly about language, CCQ payroll and cost.

How much does ServiceTitan cost?

According to the ServiceTitan Pricing page, viewed on October 26, 2026, there are three plans: Starter, Essentials and The Works. No price is published: each plan leads to a "Request Pricing" button. The page mentions pricing "per technician" without giving the amount. We found no currency and no quantified setup fees there.

In practice, to know the real cost you have to go through a demo and a sales quote. Ask in writing for: the price per technician, the currency (USD or CAD), the commitment length, the implementation fees and the price of the "Pro" modules.

At SubmitX, prices are given on request (Pricing page), depending on the plan: Free, Starter (3 users), Pro (25 users), Ultra (25 users and more). Paid plans come with a 7-day trial with no credit card.

ServiceTitan in French? Language, Quebec and data

According to the official FAQ for the Field Mobile App (viewed on October 26, 2026), the interface follows the device language and supports Spanish. We found no mention of French for the app interface or the desktop software. In the help pages we read, the only place French appears is the transcription of ServiceTitan Max recordings, which can be shown in English, Spanish or French: that is a transcription, not the menus.

For a Quebec business, this is a point to check before signing: the interface language for your employees and, above all, the language of the documents given to clients (quotes, invoices). Ask for a demo with an invoice template in French.

Data hosting: on the pages we viewed, we found no indication of the country where Canadian customers' data is hosted.

SubmitX is designed in French first (English is also offered). The database and files are hosted in Canada (AWS, ca-central-1 region, Montreal). Some technical subprocessors are in the United States (AI, application hosting, payments, email): the full list is on the Security page.

CCQ payroll, GST/QST and SEAO

According to ServiceTitan's official help ("Track Time & Process Payroll"), the manager approves the pay period and then exports a file, the Master Pay File, to upload to your payroll provider to finish processing. ServiceTitan therefore prepares payroll (hours, performance pay), but paying employees and deductions go through another service.

SubmitX includes CCQ payroll for Quebec construction trades, mobile timesheets, automatic calculation of GST (5%) and QST (9.975%), and SEAO monitoring that alerts you to new tenders based on your trades and regions. To estimate your costs, see the 2026 CCQ rate calculator.
