Housecall Pro in French? Language, Quebec and data
According to Housecall Pro's official help ("Using Housecall Pro Mobile Apps in Spanish"), the mobile apps are offered in English and Spanish. The article states that if the phone is set to English or any other language, the app stays in English. A phone set to French therefore shows the app in English. We found no mention of French (checked on October 26, 2026).
Availability in Canada: the help on the phone feature explicitly mentions Canadian clients. However, we found no page describing the Canadian offer in general (currency, Canadian taxes).
Data hosting: the official information page does not say where data is hosted, and we did not find this information on the pages we viewed.
SubmitX is designed French first (English also available). The database and files are hosted in Canada (AWS, ca-central-1 region, Montreal); the list of technical subprocessors located in the United States is published on the Security page.
Payroll, CCQ, GST/QST and SEAO
Housecall Pro offers payroll in two ways: an "HCP Payroll" module and an integration with Gusto. According to the official help on the Gusto integration, Gusto currently only serves businesses established in the United States, and each employee must have a US Social Security number (SSN), a US address, and a US bank account if paid by direct deposit. For HCP Payroll, we found no page confirming availability in Canada.
- CCQ (Commission de la construction du Québec): we found no mention of the CCQ or of Quebec construction collective agreements (checked on October 26, 2026).
- GST/QST: we found no mention of QST on the pages we viewed.
- SEAO: no mention of monitoring Quebec public calls for tenders.
SubmitX includes CCQ payroll, mobile timesheets, GST (5%) and QST (9.975%) calculated automatically, contract holdbacks and SEAO monitoring. The 2026 CCQ rate calculator is free.
